Old updates & New music

Unfortunately there will be no new update today. However, I wanted to share two old favorites as well as a new song I completed this weekend.

265/1301 was composed using nothing but field recordings from around my house and work. Some of the items used were, a microwave being closed, a light switch being turned on and off, and a juicer being turned on and off. My goal here was to examine the interruptive nature that sound can possess. Yet, however interruptive things may be, they still form a cohesive idea. Our environment constantly contains sound, whether we really pick them up or not. I wanted to explore this idea by blending sounds we hear everyday into a combination of rhythm and melody. Enjoy!
